The Spring 2023 seasons are in the scorebook with great success!  Baseball remained a partner with USSSA Recreation Baseball completing our 2nd full season of affiliation. The MID-Season Tournament saw 8 teams succeed on the field winning  Championships in the Gold, Silver, Silver Major and Silver Minor brackets with 4 teams finishing as Runner-ups.  Our complete list is 6U Single A Boys, Slammerz, 6U Gold Champion, Beasts, 6U Silver Major Champion, Blue Wahoo, 6U Silver Champion, River Bandits, 6U Silver Minor Champion, Biscuits, 6U Gold Runner-Up, Bombers, 8U Gold Champion, Warriors, 8U Bronze Champion, Rays, 10U Gold Champion, Trash Pandas, 10U Silver Champion, Cardinals, 10U Silver Minor Runner-Up, Royals, 10U Bronze Major Runner-Up, Warriors, 10U Bronze Minor Runner-Up.  We are proud of these teams and their successes.   

Softball transitioned to All American Youth Sports (AAYS). As a recreation focused organization this enabled Wetumpka Parks and Recreation to host a Softball tournament that included more than 30+ teams from Wetumpka, Holtville, Prattville, Millbrook, Eclectic, Tallassee and Mobile Alabama. 

We also appreciate our business banner sports sponsors that embraced a new sponsorship model.

With the regular season concluded, we now enter into our All-Star season program. Baseball and Softball teams from 6-14 are hard at work practicing for Tournaments. We look forward to these Ambassadors representing the City of Wetumpka throughout, Pre-Area, Area, Region, State, and World Series Tournament competitions. 

Fall registration is just around the corner. We project registration will open up in July and close early August. We hope to transition into a new software application to ease the process of registration and improve notifications.  Thank you for your continued support.
